I dont think I'd be out of line to say I was ERods biggest supporter here last season...some of you even said I was beating a dead horse about him...but no, I never saw this coming. My support was along the lines of he's the best of the worst we have haha but I did think before he was injured early on that the 1st line, with him on it, was much better than people were giving credit for because it wasn't producing a lot.

Doesn't it take 30-40 minutes per pound for a turkey to be done? You eating tomorrow morning?

Did anyone think Rust would be a difference maker when he was in the minors? Or that Guentzel would be near this good? If anything they are examples of guys who became better NHL players then they were considered as prospects.

Definitely not in the minors. Hell his first season I thought he was hot garbage in the 4th line. He’s grown quite a bit since then.

Exactly. Rust didn't show anywhere near the offensive potential of some of the guys we have now. He's an odd one to compare our prospects to because he was such a late bloomer. If anything, he's an example of why they could succeed.

I could never understand why everyone was down on EROD. He was one of the few players that gave a strong effort each and every night. Most of the keyboard GM's on this site think that they know it all. That is why they are typing on their keyboards instead of doing something positive. Sometimes you need the chance and the opportunity to show what you have got and sometimes you just do not get that chance. Ice time on a teams like this is going to be limited Even Crosby with limited ice time would not produce like a star. Turn some of these guys loose in the deep end of the pool and if they drown so be it. But it is hard to judge offensive productivity playing on the 4th line with limited minutes and linemates that are not offensively gifted. I liked this guy from the start and never once complained about him.

Honestly the best turkey I've ever made and I've been making turkey every year for Thanksgiving for like 10 years down here in FL.

Nice! He's definitely the MVP of the team so far and it's not close.

Awesome. 3 or 4 Thanksgivings ago a bud of mine stuffed a small ham (shoulder) into a turkey then wrapped the entire turkey in bacon and smoked it. It was f'n divine.

He hasn't been himself for a while. Who's replaced him?

NM.

Rod is not the guy who should be there IMO. By all accounts he's been great at centering his own line.

(frank)ing Sully and his 3rd and 4th line chemistry.

Isles are the 7th most penalized team this year. Play the Pens and they can do no wrong.
